Charina began her yoga journey in 2004 seeking to find peace in her fast-paced life as a mother, fashion designer and creator. From the very first practice on the mat, Charina discovered how yoga provided an unparalleled reprieve from stress and reminded her of the opportunity for calm and reflection during difficult times. Yoga can be a deeply healing practice applied with right intention and knowledge. Charina applies the practice of ashtanga yoga with various traditions to guide students to feel and embody each asana to their individual internal alignment.
I am a student and practitioner of yoga since 2004. I began teaching in 2011 and have continued daily practice within the ashtanga tradition since 2013. My studies have led me to practice many different styles from Iyengar to Yin yoga. To this day I personally practice and teach restorative and yin yoga to complement the yang side of ashtanga. This allows for a balanced approach to practice which I extend into my work as a yoga guide.
